Method of Joints: Example
In this example, we will demonstrate the application of the Method of Joints in calculating the internal member forces of the 9-bar truss shown in the figure below. The truss is shown to be under 8 joint forces. We can specify the magnitude and direction of each external force in the LiveMath solution sequence demonstrated below. The solution is broken into two parts
a) Support reactions
