Bars
In the case of circular bars, homogeneous or non-homogeneous
refers to radial material composition of the material. If the
material varies along the radius, the bar is said to be
non-homogeneous. If it doesn't vary then it is
homogeneous.
Below are two examples of a homogeneous and non-homogeneous
circular shaft.
